Liam Payne Teases Rumored One Direction Reunion: 'I'm Not Allowed To Say Too Much'

Liam Payne basically just confirmed the news we’ve been waiting for!!

On Monday, the former One Direction member chatted with Late Late Show host James Corden about the upcoming 10-year anniversary for the boy band, and asked if anything was in store for fans:

“Are there plans afoot for you guys to do anything to celebrate this milestone?”

The 26-year-old coyly replied:

“I’m not allowed to say too much obviously, because I’d be giving it away. But we’ve been speaking a lot more at the moment.”

So that wasn’t exactly a yes, but it wasn’t a no!!

Payne added:

“I think that we’re all feeling that that 10 year is a very special moment.”

The Strip That Down rapper noted that he recently had a “beautiful” chat on FaceTime with Niall Horan who he hadn’t spoken with in a while, and that he’s also recently spoken with Louis Tomlinson, as well:

“Yeah, it’s been really nice, it’s a nice moment.”

The thought of a 1D reunion has been something Directioners have been dreaming about for quite some time, but it wasn’t until recently that legitimate hope began to spread.

In a recent interview with The Sun, Payne was prompted to discuss the possibility of a reunion:

“At the moment I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say.”

That IS saying a lot in itself!!

He went on to explain:

“We’ve got a 10-year anniversary coming up so we’ve all been speaking together a lot over the last few weeks which has been really nice. You hear a lot of people’s voices and seeing old content and different things that we haven’t seen for a long time or never seen before, it’s very interesting… There’s a number of different things that we are all working on to try and make happen and people are forwarding emails around. But more than anything it’s just been a real good time for us to connect together again.”

This comes after eagle-eyed Directioners noticed that the entire foursome and the official account for the band all started following Zayn Malik on Twitter again!

As you’ll remember, the PILLOWTALK crooner infamously made his exit from the group in March 2015, a year ahead of the eventual “hiatus” which has been going on since 2016. Since then, they haven’t been on the friendliest of terms but it seems like something has definitely shifted!!
