Lily Collins looks effortlessly glorious on July’s Glamour, but she’s waaay more than just a pretty face!
She is a graceful and gifted actress, too!
The 24-year-old actress starlet is proud of her fantastic work in Stuck in Love, a critically acclaimed dramz starring Logan Lerman and Kristen Bell!
Lily admitted:
“[Stuck in Love] is my most meaningful project so far. I fought for the role for seven months. I read the script and thought, No one but me can play this. Samantha is promiscuous, cynical, sarcastic├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥qualities that are not me, but fun to channel. I also liked her relationship with her dad… My mom [is my mentor, though.] It has nothing to do with acting. She guides me through my personal life, telling me to experiment.”
Awww! That’s so touching!!!
But we want to hear about Mortal Instruments!!!
We just know the film adaptations of that young adult series will BLOW OUR MIND!
Lily, as it turns out, is almost as excited as us.
She also said:
“I├óΓé¼Γäóm so excited [for Mortal Instruments!] I had read and really loved the books… The fans [in Toronto, during filming] were amazing. They├óΓé¼Γäód bring us cookies, mugs, tea, drawings, everything. I want to make sure I live up to their expectations as Clary.”

Speaking of which, Lily hit up her pal and idol Jennifer Lawrence for guidance and inspiration!
The actress revealed:
“[Jennifer is] a friend; she├óΓé¼Γäós awesome. The choices Jennifer has made have been really interesting. And I loved how she carried herself after her trip [going up onstage] at the Oscars. I was like, ‘You go, girl!'”
That isn’t to say Lily has tons of industry friends, however!
She continued:
“It├óΓé¼Γäós funny, but the friends I├óΓé¼Γäóve made in this business, some of us started out getting each other├óΓé¼Γäós phone numbers in audition rooms because we were like, ‘I see you all the time. Why are we not hanging out?'”
Stuck in Love is currently showing at festivals and will get a limited U.S. release in July!
