Lincoln Memorial Closed Due To Vandalism! Boo!

Oh no!

Four score and a few hours ago, someone sprayed the Lincoln Memorial with green paint!

A visitor discovered the vandalism early Friday morning. The monument has been closed ever since for cleaning.

What a jerk! People come from all over the world to pay their respects to Abraham Lincoln! You mess with him, you mess with America!

And also Daniel Day-Lewis, who isn’t American but is probably feeling it deeply. He REALLY gets into character.

We hope there’s no permanent damage! We hold these truths to be self evident, that vandals suck!
