You may have felt a slight chill in the crisp air yesterday if you live in Los Angeles. You might have thought that fall had finally descended on us, but in reality, you were feeling the cold breeze from hell as it froze over.
Why? Because Lindsay Lohan agreed to spend time with her father, Michael Lohan.
We never thought the day would come.
For years now, the two have shared an estranged relationship at best, both fighting personal demons as well as their struggle to stay out in of the spotlight. Still, sources are confirming that the father and daughter reunited yesterday as Michael went to visit her at the Betty Ford Clinic.
We’re told that Michael arrived at the clinic shortly after 1 PM and the two reportedly spent “hours together” during an “emotional reunion.” A source with knowledge of the reunion explained:
“There were hugs, kisses and even a few tears when Michael and Lindsay first saw each other… it was not a fleeting encounter, this appeared well-planned in advance.”
We’re told the pair decided to go out beyond the confines of the treatment center and did a little shopping at the mall, chatting and perusing in a jewelry store.
Of course, the natural inclination to get more details about the reunion is to go to the source. But Michael has become a man of his word – sorta. When contacted by sources for comment, he replied:
“I have pledged not to comment about anything relating to my daughter. However, what I will say is that I am an incredibly proud father tonight. My daughter is progressing extraordinarily well.”
That’s good to hear. We haven’t heard a real update on her in awhile.
Patching things up with her papa? Getting medical help for her issues? What kind of Lindsay will emerge come the new year?
