Bret Easton Ellis wants everyone to know that they’ve been unnecessarily harsh in their negative reviews of Liz & Dick, and we’re sure it has nothing to do with Lindsay‘s involvement in his upcoming flick The Canyons.
We’re just sure of it! LOLz!
Business linkings aside, we actually kinda agree with Bret here, who had this to say about Lindsay’s return to acting:
“I’m thoroughly enjoying and consistently amused by Liz & Dick. The haters went overboard on this one. All I keep thinking: Liz & Dick is just chintzy fun and I’d rather sit through it twice than endure something like The Sessions again.”
He then denied the business angle:
“I’ve taken Lindsay to task before: the fun I’m having watching Liz & Dick has nothing to do with the fact that she’s in The Canyons. If you get jacked-up over something as charmingly innocuous as Liz & Dick then there is a bigger problem at large than the movie itself…”
Lindsay might not have been our top choice for a Liz Taylor biopic, but we’ll be damned if she didn’t entertain us!
