Lizzo Shares An EPIC Inspirational Throwback Message Following Her 'SNL' Debut: 'Your Time Is Coming'

Lizzo shares a throwback photo.

Ugh, one could only dream of having as good of a breakout year as Lizzo did!

It seems like the entertainer hits one major career milestone after another with each passing day of 2019 and her Saturday Night Live musical guest debut over the weekend served as yet another testament to her growing star power.

Memorable moments like these are not lost on the Truth Hurts singer, either!

On Sunday, Lizzo took to social media to remind fans just how far she’s come by posting a set of then-and-now photos on Twitter — and it truly gave us all the feels!

In one shot, we see the starlet dressed in all black, beaming with pride, and bearing a striking resemblance to Lady Liberty for one of her official SNL portraits. It turns out that look was all too familiar for her because, in the other picture, we see the Good As Hell crooner decked out in an actual Statue of Liberty costume when she was a bit younger.

While we love breaking things down for you, our girl’s post and caption really said it all! Ch-ch-check it out, (below):

In full, the inspiring message reads:

“On the left was when I worked for liberty taxes, as a sign spinner… on the right is my @nbcsnl debut. Don’t stop.. we need you. Your time is coming.”

YAS, queen!

From the streets of her local community to the world-renowned NBC stage, topping Billboard charts, and more. From flagging down your average Joe to get his taxes done on time, to becoming one of the most talked-about female emcees in recent years. Talk about a glow up!

While some who aren’t privy to Lizzo’s struggle might see her as an overnight success story, this photo provides proof it wasn’t all sunshine and roses on the road to her dreams.

R&B singer Kehlani was one of the first to chime in with words of admiration and reiterate our previous point. She wrote:

“Lizzo deserves everything she has. She’s been at this a really long time and this isn’t random or abrupt, this is hard hard work and never giving up on yourself.”

Clearly appreciative of the love, the 31-year-old rapper replied:

“thank u sis… u been supporting from the jump.”

If this shocking throwback doesn’t inspire you to pursue your pipe dreams, we don’t know what will! Follow Lizzo’s (literal) signs and your big break could be just around the corner, LOLz.

With the 2020 Grammy awards right around the corner, it would appear even more good things could be coming soon, too! The Jerome rapper boasts eight nominations from the Recording Academy, making her the most nominated artist up for a win that night.

Did we forget to mention she was also named at TIME magazine’s Entertainer Of The Year, too?!

Like her or not, this woman did not come to play!

Perezcious readers, got anything to say about all of this? Are YOU on Team Lizzo? Share your thoughts with us (below) in the comment section!
