From Wake Up, San Francisco… To, WAKE UP Inmate 145622!
Lori Loughlin is reportedly concerned about her legacy amid the college admissions scandal. Yes, that’s what she’s supposedly worried about, despite pleading not guilty to mail fraud and money laundering conspiracy last week.
As a refresher, the former Hallmark darling wanted her daughters to get into the University of Southern California so badly, she and her fashion mogul husband Mossimo Giannulli allegedly paid around $500,000 to falsely designate their daughters as crew team recruits, despite the fact that they did not participate in crew.

All of that aside, a new People source shared the 54-year-old actress and Giannulli are very concerned about their good names despite potentially facing up to 20 years in prison for each charge if convicted!
The confidant shared Lori’s issue with the charges overshadowing her career:
“Lori is shocked and saddened that this is what her legacy is going to be.”
In case you missed it, earlier this week TMZ revealed the couple’s reported defense will be based on the argument that they had “no idea” scammer Rick Singer was going to actually bribe coaches at USC in order to get the couple’s daughters into school there.
Have NO mercy! Things aren’t looking great!
The source went on, and stayed with the most recent narrative where the pair were seemingly clueless about what was happening with their $500K:
“You read the complaint and they look like criminal masterminds, but they really didn’t know the legalities of what was going on. They’re not lawyers and they’re not experts. They were parents who simply wanted to make sure that their daughters got into a good school. Calling in favors, donating money to the alumni association, hiring consultants. Those are all things that parents do. And so they gave money to this consultant, not entirely knowing everything that was going to be done. When it all fell apart, nobody was as surprised as they were that they were in trouble.”

Kinda odd they would be ok with giving half a million dollars to someone and not knowing where it was going — but AUNT BECKY’S MIND, we guess!
The source continues:
“She never intended to break any laws, and if she did, it was inadvertent.”
Righttttttt….
This goes along with another insiders notion that both Loughlin and Giannulli felt manipulated during the entire process.
On a final note, the insider divulged:
“[The couple is] very focused on getting the legal case worked out. They can deal with careers and finances later. Right now, they need to deal with mounting their defense, while still negotiating for any sort of deal. Everything else is secondary. Lori, in particular, is very focused. She is being very no-nonsense about this now.”
Thoughts on all this madness, Perezcious readers! The entire “Operation: Varsity Blues” is next level privilege f**kery!
