It’s officially official!
We already pretty much knew it, but there’s nothing like getting the word directly from the horse’s mouth!
Earlier today the peeps at Louis Vuitton FINALLY confirmed that former Balenciaga creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere will take over for Marc Jacobs at the renowned French label.
Huzzah!!!
Whoever mans the brand’s Twitter account wrote:
“Louis Vuitton is thrilled to welcome Nicolas Ghesqui├â┬¿re as artistic director of the women├óΓé¼Γäós collections.”
How modern of them to make the announcement via social media!
For his part, Nicolas said:
“Louis Vuitton has always incarnated for me the symbol of ultimate luxury, innovation and exploration. I am very honored of the mission that I am entrusted with, and proud to join the history of this great maison. We share common values and a vision.”
We are so eager to see what Nicolas will bring to the proverbial table, and we only have to wait until March of next year to see his first collection for LV!
It’s the start of a beautiful new era!
