Couples Stick Voodoo Dolls With Pins To Prove That They’re Angrier When They’re Hungry!

low glucose levels make people angry
You know those ridiculous Snickers commercials, saying, “You’re not you when you’re hungry?” Well, they’re right!
A new study shows that low blood sugar levels are linked to angry people!
The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences published a study where 107 couples had their blood glucose levels measured in the morning and evening for 21 days. In the evening, they secretly stuck voodoo dolls with pins to signify how angry they were with their spouses — one person poking a high of 51 needles!
Well, it turns out the people with lower glucose levels were the angriest!
Then, the couples played rigged computer games which let them each win around the same number of times. The winner could blow an obnoxious noise in their partner’s ears. Once again, lower glucose levels created more horn blowing!
Their findings concluded:

├óΓé¼┼ôLow glucose levels might be one factor that contributes to intimate partner violence├óΓé¼┬ª Aggression starts when self-control stops.”

However, Professor Florian Lange from Hannover Medical School in Germany raised the issue of healthy people who happen to have low glucose levels, saying:

“Who are these violent people having low blood sugar? Maybe they eat healthier in order to be fit to do extreme sports, an activity they like to pursue because they are more risk-taking. This latter variable could explain why they show more aggression.”

But when it comes down to it, we’re all just more irritable when we’re hungry.
Because food is delicious!
