Lowry Park Zoo Gets A RARE Treat With Baby Okapi!

Have you ever heard on a okapi?!?!?! We sure haven’t but we’re madly in love with this little one!
Parents Zack and Betty welcomed this bundle of CUTEness in early January and the three week old is already 96 pounds!
There are only 100 okapis in captivity in the States, and they are currently listed as “Threatened” on the endangered species list.
This calf is the zoo’s first birth of 2013 and we’re sure the zoo will love having this new addition!
