This is great casting news for the Evil Dead TV series!
Last November, Starz announced they ordered a 10-episode TV series based on the 1981 cult classic, Evil Dead.
On Monday, the premium cable network confirmed that Lucy Lawless, best known for the titular role in the 90’s hit series, Xena: Warrior Princess, will be joining the cast!

The 46-year-old actress will be playing Ruby, a mysterious warrior woman set to hunt down the cause of the recent “evil outbreaks” that will be revealed in the series.
Fight that evil, Xena!

Bruce Campbell is already set to come back as main character, Ash, who has been fighting the evil dead for the past three decades! Maybe fighting the evil together will create a love spark between Ash and Ruby?
Sam Raimi, the director of the hit 2013 Evil Dead remake, is producing the series. This is one show we don’t want to miss!
The TV series, Ash vs. Evil Dead, is set to premiere in late 2015 on Starz.
