Well we guess this is really the least he could do!
After biting Italian player Giorgio Chiellini during a World Cup matchup, Uruguayan forward Luis Suarez earned himself a 4 month soccer ban and became an overnight internet celebrity for all of the wrong reasons!
But with all of the fuss the infamous bite cause, the biter himself has yet to say a WORD about it! Until now, that is!
Luis finally took to Twitter to issue an apology, saying:
“Independent from the fallout and the contradicting declaration that have surfaced during these past days, all of which have been without the intention of interfering with the good performance of my national team, the truth is my colleague Giorgio Chiellini suffered the physical result of a bite in the collision he suffered with me. For this:
-I deeply regret what occurred.
-I apologize to Giorgio Chiellini and the entire football family.
-I vow to the public that there will never again be another incident like”
For those of you who haven’t been following, up until now Luis has basically been denying that he ever bit Giorgio on purpose! And to tell you the truth, he’s still being pretty darn passive about the whole thing!
Oh well, at least he finally took the time to officially address the situation and actually apologize for it! Let’s just hope it doesn’t happen again!
