L’Wren Scott was laid to rest yesterday at Hollywood Forever Funeral Home in Los Angeles.
The service was held at All Saints Church in Pasadena and attended by a small gathering of family and close friends, including Mick Jagger, L’Wren’s brother Randy Bambrough, actress and close friend Ellen Barkin, and members of Mick Jagger’s family.
Reverend Ed Bacon led the service, with speeches also given by Mick Jagger, Randy Bambrough, talent agent Justinian Kfoury, costumer designer Ira M. Hammons-Glass, and Adam Glassman, creative director of O magazine.
Ellen Barkin and Mick’s daughter Karis read poems at the service, while Mick’s eldest daughter Jade read Psalm 139. His grandchildren, Mazie and Zak, read Psalm 23.
Randy Bambrough’s daughter Hannah read Shakespeare’s famous Sonnet 18, which begins with the line “Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?” and explores the theme of immortality.
Finally, Bernard Fowler sang the hymn Will the Circle be Unbroken with guitar accompaniment by Dave Stewart.
Our thoughts are with L’Wren’s family and friends.
