Mac Miller Dead At 26 Of Apparent Overdose

We’re shocked to report that Mac Miller has died of an apparent overdose.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the Divine Feminine rapper was found unresponsive at around noon on Friday at his home in San Fernando Valley, California and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Miller has had a long history with substance abuse, especially following his breakup with Ariana Grande earlier this year. She’s now engaged to Pete Davidson.

In May, the 26-year-old was arrested in connection with a DUI crash. He fled the scene, but authorities say he later confessed at his home and blew 2 times the legal limit.

Miller spoke on overcoming some of these demons in Self Care, one of the songs from his new album Swimming. The music video for Self Care, what would be his final video, showed the artist buried underground in a coffin — an homage to a similar scene in Kill Bill vol. 2.

One shot in the video is particularly chilling, as it shows Miller carving the phrase, “Memento Mori” — Latin for, “remember that you have to die” — into the wood. Watch it (below):

We’ll keep you updated on his death as more details come to light.
