Mad Men Spoof Backfires On NBC

That network can’t do anything right these days!
NBC aired an Emmy promo on Wednesday night spoofing Mad Men. Emmy host Jimmy Fallon played Don Draper while Christina Hendricks appeared as Joan.
Although the other shows competing against Mad Men in the best drama series category were not pleased. Considering the TV Academy is still voting, the network is giving extra advertising to the AMC drama.
“Are they kidding?” asked a rep. “They├óΓé¼Γäóre running basically ads for ‘Mad Men’ in the middle of the voting process. That├óΓé¼Γäós like having a presidential campaign and running an ad for one candidate. It├óΓé¼Γäós outrageous.”
NBC has removed the ad and promised that the spoofs will not run again until the Emmy voting window closes on the 17th.
