We all kind of knew an apology would be coming, right?!
Madonna recently posted a pic of her son Rocco Ritchie on Instagram, and accompanied it with a racial hashtag!
The 55-year-old singer later deleted the pic and kind of apologized, but now Her Madgesty has a real “I’m sorry” for the world! Her statement read:
“I am sorry if I offended anyone with my use of the N word on Instagram. It was not meant as a racial slur.. I am not a racist. There’s no way to defend the use of the word. It was all about intention.. It was used as a term of endearment toward my son who is white. I appreciate that it’s a provocative word and I apologize if it gave people the wrong impression. Forgive me.”
We forgive you, Madonna, and hopefully everyone else will too.
But we have to wonder again why she would even think that using the n-word is okay!
