Madonna couldn’t be happier for Britney Spears!
During the New York premiere of her new documentary Madame X on Thursday, the 63-year-old icon revealed to Entertainment Tonight that she spoke with Britney over the phone earlier in the day.

Her Madgesty shared she was “just checking in on her, and congratulating her on her marriage. Or her pending marriage.” The Like A Virgin singer also sweetly added:
“I love her.”
AWWW! In case you somehow missed the news, Britney dropped on social media earlier this month that she got engaged to Sam Asghari in the midst of her legal battles with her father, Jamie Spears. The conservatorship allegedly had been keeping her from marrying her longtime boyfriend.
Back in July, Madonna vocalized her support for the #FreeBritney movement after the star spoke out against her “abusive” legal arrangement in court for the first time. While sharing a throwback photo of herself wearing a t-shirt with Brits name on it, she wrote on her Instagram Story at the time:
“Give this woman her life back
Slavery was abolished so long ago!
Death to the greedy patriarchy that has been doing this to women for centuries
This is a violation of human rights!
Britney we coming to Get you out of jail!”
