Madonna is suing mad!
Her Madgesty is asking for more than $6 million in damages over the illegal publication of her wedding pictures from her 2000 nuptials to Guy Ritchie.
A London court was told today, Monday, how the photographs from the “wholly private” event were copied “surreptitiously” by a shady interior designer doing work at Madge’s home in Beverly Hills.
Was it her brother??????!!!!!!!!!!!!
Madge’s attorneys told the court that no photographs of her wedding were ever published until this past October when The Mail on Sunday published 11 photos over the front page and inside.
Her attorney said Madonna “was ambushed, for the simple reason that if the Mail on Sunday had told her what they intended to do, the claimant would have sought and obtained an injunction.”
Adding that after the photos were published, Madge’s camp launched legal proceedings seeking damages “in excess of ├é┬ú5 million, being the estimated value of the photographs”.
As for the newspaper, they paid about $6,000 for the photos and they made “no attempt to defend what it did” and even admitted to breach of privacy and copyright.
Luckily, the judge sided with Madonna today and further proceedings to assess the damages to be paid will be heard in court next year.
We think someone in Madge’s camp should “accidentally” release the name of that shiteous designer. People should be warned not to let that person into their home!
Update: It turns out it was a-hole interior designer Robert Joseph Wilber who gained access to Madge’s photoalbums and copied at least 26 of her wedding photos. Celebs, be careful if you let him in to your homes. He might try to steal and sell something of yours!
