Nooo! Say it isn’t so!
Maggie Smith got very realistic about her part as the Dowager Countess of Grantham in Downton Abbey, and revealed that the sixth season will be her last. She explained:
“They say this is the last one, and I can’t see how it could go on. I mean, I certainly can’t keep going. To my knowledge, I must be 110 by now. We’re into the late 1920s.”
LOLz! Good point!

But Maggie may not be the only one leaving. It’s been rumored that the sixth season will be the last season of the entire series anyway.
As for 80-year-old Smith, she talked about what it’s like to work at this age, saying:
“When you’re not working it’s scary, and when you are working it’s scary, because you don’t know if you’ve got the energy to get through the day. But the bleakness of not doing it, and missing out on the friendships that you make, is too much to bear.”
Maggie is brillz so we hope she keeps acting for many years to come!
