No, it’s not the Chris Brown that you may be thinking of!
A man named Chris Brown saved the 11-month-old son of Stephanie Cooper this past Friday in Greer, South Carolina, and the family is so grateful they’ll be able to celebrate their child’s first birthday because of this man!
The scary incident happened when the little boy, named Eli, put a plastic wrapper in his mouth and it got lodged in his throat. It’s at that point when the mother, like many people would, freaked entirely out.
Here’s what she said happened:
├óΓé¼┼ôI turned around and started beating him on his back, but it wasn’t coming out.”
She threw open the front door and became super frantic. It was so nerve-wracking for her that she doesn’t even know exactly what happened as she said:
“I don’t even remember a whole lot of it because I just blacked out.├óΓé¼┬¥
But that’s when Chris Brown, the mailman, who happened to be dropping off some mail, sprung into action. Here’s how the mom described his heroic actions:
├óΓé¼┼ôThe mailman didn’t even say a word. He just grabbed my son and did the Heimlich on him and out it came…It was no coincidence that Chris was here at that exact time.”
After Chris saved the baby’s life, he immediately began to comfort the momma. Here’s what Chris Brown said:
“The baby started crying so I said, ├óΓé¼╦£He’s OK mom, he’s OK, he’s crying. He’s OK,├óΓé¼Γäó├óΓé¼┬¥
And while Eli’s parents are quick to call Chris Brown a hero – the baby saving postal worker does not feel the same. He said:
├óΓé¼┼ôI really don’t feel that way, because to me I would have done it for anyone or I hope someone would have done it for my children.”
Wow!
What an amazing and miraculous story!
Accentuated by the fact that Chris just happened to be there right at that scariest moment of this mother and baby’s life! Talk about being in the right place in the right time!
