Maksim Chmerkovskiy may be planning to depart Dancing With The Stars after his contract expires with the series in 2013, but for now, it appears that the professional dancer is only quitting his RELATIONSHIP with fellow castmember Peta Murgatroyd!
Sources close to the pair, who only got together about 10 months ago, have revealed that they called it quits about two weeks before Valentine’s Day…and sadly, the decision was NOT mutual!
Insiders explained:
“He wasn’t feeling her anymore. [Murgatroyd] didn’t want it to end. It will be very heated between them when the [new] season starts in a few weeks.”
Yeesh! It certainly sounds like it will be!
But hey! Gurl HAD to anticipate that this would be a possibility!
It’s not like this is his first date dating within the reality series!
Karina Smirnoff and season 10 contestant Erin Andrews both survived…even if we imagine it must have been all sorts of AWKWARD!
Here’s hoping that whatever left-over emotions and heartbreak there may be will translate well into an especially FIERCE competition, come March!
