It’s recently been confirmed that Malin Ackerman will be playing the part of Debbie Harry, lead singer of the punk rock band Blondie, in the new movie, CBGB.
The movie, directed by Randall Miller, tells the story of the famous New York underground punk nightclub.
The Ramones, The Misfits, Blondie and many, many more got their start at CBGB.
Malin is joining Alan Rickman in the movie. Rickman plays Hilly Kristal, the man who owned and operated CBGB for over 30 years!
What’s funny is Rickman’s Harry Potter co-star, Rupert Grint, is attached to the project as well, to play a punk guitarist.
Sounds like it’ll be one rockin’ movie with a great cast!
