Mama June Shannon‘s family does NOT approve of Geno Doak.
According to new reports out today in TMZ, sources close to the family claim that the relationship between the two of ’em “has moved beyond troubling, and is in dangerous territory.” Worse yet, family members are reportedly concerned about “the downward spiral” that they believe to be inevitable here.

Sources apparently believe that Geno has Mama June “under his thumb,” and he’s allegedly been playing mind games to mess with her, and keep in control of the reality TV star as she’s “locked away in a mental prison.” Geno is reportedly filling her head with lies, and preventing her from seeing her kids and extended family, too.
Shannon’s loved ones are pretty clear about why they say Doak is doing this: it’s all about the Benjamins, baby. Family members claim that Geno loves this life because he’s able to spend all of Mama June’s hard-earned money, scot-free, without ever having to get a job himself. Not a bad life… except he’s allegedly conning it all out of her!
The worst part is apparently everyone in the family BUT Mama June can see the problem; she insists Geno is not an issue, despite Honey Boo Boo and pretty much everybody else keen to show her it’s quite the contrary. Until June can see it for herself, though, it’s likely going to be a long road before Doak gets kicked out of the house… if ever.
On the serious side of it, family members are already reportedly worried that Geno’s drug addiction and substance abuse issues may one day pull Mama June down, too — which would be a very, very bad thing. Everyone supposedly fears that side of him as being particularly dangerous, too, so there’s not much consensus here on what’d be the best way to help the situation, get Honey Boo Boo back with Mama June, and return life to normal — or, well, as normal as possible.

Thus far, Geno’s actions and legal troubles (domestic violence and crack cocaine possession back in March, to name some of the most recent) seem to only serve to bring him and Shannon closer together, almost like it’s some us against the world mentality, or something. And that, to Mama June’s family, is truly the worst-case scenario when it comes to the relationship sticking around for the long-haul.
