What a catch!
A new video has emerged of a man recently catching a baby who fell out of a building’s window in a southern Chinese city, and the footage is insane!
The baby’s savior has been identified by the press as a Mr. Li from the Guangdong province who works as a street vendor most of the time, and moonlights as a baby catcher on the side.
The footage came about from a surveillance video which showed people on the street reacting to a baby who had been left alone and had climbed out on the ledge.
While others tried to place items down to break the baby’s fall, Mr. Li and a man identified as Hu held out their arms to catch the baby! And Mr. Li totally does! With a little help from Hu!
After the safe grab, the baby was taken by his frantic mother who bundled the little one up and rushed away!
But Mr. Li’s actions have not gone unnoticed, and many have asked him what was going through his mind right before he made his life saving catch. He said:
“I didn’t think too much at the time. I was just afraid of failing to catch him.”
Well, he totally did catch him! And thank goodness, too!
