A 44-year-old Colorado man will spend the next 80 years in prison after being convicted of sexually assaulting a teenage girl. Even worse, this was his own stepdaughter he assaulted multiple times over four years, beginning back in 2020. And his wife, the girl’s biological mother, has been locked up for taking part in the abuse, too.
But as despicable as the story may be, it was the man’s failed defense in court that is really drawing attention…
Brandon Robert Berg (pictured in his mugshot, above) was convicted of aggravated incest, second-degree assault, and sexual assault of a child by a person in a position of trust last week in a Colorado courtroom. According to a press release from the Arapahoe County District Attorney’s Office, last year, the girl came forward to cops and claimed that Berg had began assaulting her when she was just 15 years old.

When detectives went to interview Berg, though, he had an unbelievable defense: that he was innocent because his d**k was too small to have assaulted his stepdaughter!
HUH?!?!
The release from the DA’s office revealed Berg initially said this to cops:
“Berg said he was unable to have sexual intercourse due to the size of his belly fat and small size of his genitalia.”
Uhhh…
And then, somehow, Berg’s defense got even wilder. The release went on to add:
“He also claimed he had an alternate sexual orientation which made him disinterested in the conduct alleged.”
Oh, and this wasn’t just an angle Berg tried to take at first with the detectives, either. The prosecutor’s office noted that he CONTINUED to use those claims when testifying at trial! But obviously, considering his conviction, the court thought, uh, very little of the small genital defense.
Makes sense… there are a LOT of men with shortcomings out there who still manage to have sex. He’s talking like he’s been castrated… If only…
Arapahoe County Deputy DA Jacob Kremin said Berg’s attempts to prove his own innocence were nothing more than “an array of ridiculous excuses,” none of which the jury or judge bought.
And like we said, Brandon wasn’t the only Berg convicted in this case, either. His wife Rebecca Berg — again, the victim’s biological mother — was also convicted of aggravated incest and sentenced to four year to life in prison, followed by 20 years of Sex Offender Intensive Supervision upon her possible release. According to prosecutors, Rebecca would sometimes join her husband in abusing the girl. That is SO f**king evil.
BTW, no matter the size of Berg’s genitalia, detectives were able to find indisputable pieces of evidence linking both adults to the girl’s abuse. That included a four-inch scar on the girl’s back that she claimed to cops was the result of an incident in which Brandon scratched her with a fork. AND there’s a scar on the teenager’s arm in the shape of the initials “RB,” meant to signify both Berg and his now-convicted wife. That’s right. They branded her. The poor girl was forcibly marked with a knife her stepdad heated up on a stovetop.

In the end, the conviction was secured because of the teen’s bravery — and smart thinking! The victim called cops just one day after Berg last sexually assaulted her — and kept clothing containing his DNA to give to detectives. That DNA, investigators later determined, matched Brandon Robert Berg without a doubt. Kremin concluded:
“The victim in this case showed immense courage and bravery by speaking up. She played an instrumental role in preserving evidence.”
No kidding.
Assistant DA Ryan Brackley also spoke out about the convictions and prison sentences:
“These defendants robbed a young girl of her teenage years — sexually, physically and emotionally abusing her. It’s appalling that a mother and stepfather would repeatedly abuse someone they were supposed to love and support. While no length of time in prison will undo the trauma the victim of these horrible crimes endured, we hope these sentences will offer her some measure of healing.”
We can’t even imagine going through a series of sexual assaults over four years — from one’s own stepfather and biological mother, no less — along with being physically abused and f**king BRANDED!
At least she’s free of them now… And he’s the one who’ll be living with the shame from now on.
