A man in Nottingham was sent to 4 years and 4 months of prison, after getting into a deadly fight with his then-friend.
Scott Humphrey got into a heated argument in a cab ride with friend Richard Rovetto, claiming that Richard had “poked” his “missus” on Facebook.
The argument became physical, according to a press release:
“The argument culminated in Mr. Humphrey striking Mr. Rovetto as he tried to get out of the taxi. Mr Rovetto was walking away towards the friend who had shared the taxi with them, when Mr. Humphrey approached him from behind and punched him to the head, causing him to fall to the floor. Mr. Rovetto never got up, and he died shortly afterwards from head injuries.”
Although Scott eventually fled from the scene, he eventually turned himself in, and has been described as “genuinely remorseful.”
