This won’t bring him back, but at least the man responsible for stabbing and killing Charice‘s father, Ricky Pempengco, has been caught.
Angel Capili Jr. turned himself into authorities in the Philippines on Thursday after his wife arranged his surrender.
Capili, also a construction worker, admitted to senselessly killing Pempengco and says he “planned to surrender because what I did was wrong.” He’s also seeking forgiveness from Charice and the rest of her family, continuing:
“I am seeking forgiveness from the family left behind by Mr. Pempengco…I am prepared to suffer whatever is the judgment.”
On a local radio show in her hometown in the Philippines, the Glee star said, “Whoever did this must be brought to justice.”
We’re happy her family can at least rest easy knowing that this dangerous man is locked up behind bars.
Once again, we’d like to send our thoughts and prayers to Charice and her family during this difficult time.
