It doesn’t just affect the sick person, it affects everyone around them. It’s an awful disease that steals a person’s soul.
When Lisa Abeyta’s father’s Alzheimer’s progressed far enough, he lost the ability to speak.
That must’ve been so hard. Not being able to hear your father say he loves you, let alone recognize who you are.
She discovered something amazing though. When around the family dog… he could speak!!
