Margaret Cho has been a part of Fashion Police ever since it returned from its scandal-induced hiatus, and now it looks like she’s officially getting her badge.
E! announced on Thursday that the comedian has been upgraded to special co-host for the 2016 awards season!

Margaret shared an adorable statement in response to the news — and a sweet thank you to the late Joan Rivers, saying:
“I love joining the crew of Fashion Police. To me it feels like family. although I am not quite a fashionista, I would love to look at it like I am changing it up — Fashion Police: Special Victims Unit. It makes me happiest to spend time with Melissa [Rivers], and when I see her laugh at my joke, I feel like Joan is smiling, somewhere.”
We’d absolutely watch a FP spin-off with a cast of fashionably unconscious stars! LOLz!!!
Margaret will kick off the year alongside Giuliana Rancic, Brad Goreski, and Melissa when Fashion Police takes on the Golden Globes Sunday, January 10 on E!
Although… we wonder why her fellow longtime co-host NeNe didn’t get the same promotion??
