Talk about feeling some pressure!
Maria Sharapova has won some of the most intense tennis matches you can imagine, but this took it to a whole other level.
Instead of playing in the U.S. Open (she withdrew last month due to a right shoulder bursitis), the leggy athlete was in the Caribbean for her Labor Day break, and decided to go paddleboarding.
What she didn’t plan on was a close encounter with a shark!
She tweeted:
I really did not need to see a reef shark while paddle boarding at snail speed. #sharkweek is supposed to be over.

At least it was a friendly shark and there were no accidents!
Thank goodness, Maria lived to play in another tournament!
