Our minds were straight up blown recently when Mark Wahlberg admitted he very nearly acquired the rights to adapt Fifty Shades of Grey himself!!!
As we all know by now, the movie version of E.L. James‘ scandalous novel is all set to star Charlie Hunnam Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, but what if things would’ve gone differently?
At a recent producer’s roundtable, Marky Mark explained why his funky undies were in a bunch! He admitted:
“I almost fired my agent Ari [Emanuel] over [Fifty Shades]├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥not because I wanted to play the part. We were aware of the book from very early on, and we were close to securing the rights, and then we get into this bidding war. We were so close to having [it]. That was one of the few times I was going to fire Ari.”
Even crazier, the 42-year-old actor/producer says he knows exactly who he might’ve hand-selected to star as Christian Grey!
Would you believe Brad Motherf**kin’ Pitt?!
Someone in the audience yelled out that Jamie looks a lot like Mark already, and Mark replied:
“No, sounds like Brad Pitt to me.”
OMG!!! Can you imagine?! We certainly can!!!
When B.P. enters the red room of pain, you just know he always goes in through the back door! We love it, LOLz!!!
Still, we can’t wait for the Jamie/Dakota version to thrust its way into our eager theaters this February 13th! We’re sure it’ll be AMAZEBALLGAGZ!
