Boho mania!
In an interview with CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Matthew McConaughey revealed that he and baby momma Camila Alves kept the placenta from the July birth of son, Levi AND the family plans to plant it in an orchard.
Apparently, placenta land fertilization is a tradition in several cultures.
Wow. You learn something new every day!
Mateo said, “It’s going to be in the orchards and it’s going to bear some wonderful fruit. When I was in Australia, they had a placenta tree that was on the river … and all the placentas of all that tribe, all that clan, whatever aboriginal tribe that was, all the placentas went under that one tree and it was this huge behemoth of just health and strength. This tree was just growing taller and stronger above the rest of Mother Nature around it. It was gorgeous.”
It also looks like McConaughey and Alves have adopted some unconventional approaches to parenting. At one month old they’ve started introducing baby Levi to the “sights and the sounds” of the world ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ including a John Mellencamp concert and the paparazzi madness of LA’s Robertson Boulevard!
“You’re never told in our house, ‘Shh, Levi is sleeping.’ No. Get used to the ambiance. Come with us. That’s how I was raised,” says the bongo playing daddy.
Fascinating.
Wouldn’t it be funny if Levi grew up to be a totally tightly wound nerdy boy instead of free spirited earth child?
