NBC‘s Matt Lauer is apparently a big ole’ “D” to his underlings at Today!
Three big D’s, actually — he stands accused of being derogatory, demeaning, and dismissive to the hard-working members of his staff!
Good Morning America PUMMELED The Today Show during May sweeps, so we imagine the ratings decline is at least part of why Matt became such a meanie!
One source close to the situation reveals:
“The way Matt treats staffers at work is so derogatory and dismissive. He is so demeaning to many people on the staff. He is cordial to his fellow hosts and the senior executives but to anyone below him they say he treats them like dirt.”
Ugh!! As if running Ann Curry out of town wasn’t enough!

We’re surprised Matt hasn’t learned better manners after 25 long years on TV!
Maybe his totally uncool temperament is why his show is so unpopular these days!!
