Meek Mill Suing Cosmopolitan Hotel For Alleged Racial Discrimination After Security Refused To Let Him Enter!

Meek Mill suiting cosmo for racism

Meek Mill is ready to take Las Vegas’ Cosmopolitan hotel to court after he was barred from entering the property over the weekend.
The 32-year-old rapper’s lawyer Joe Tacopina told TMZ that they will file a lawsuit this week against the Cosmo for ordering Meek to leave the grounds and threatening to have him arrested if he disobeyed.

They are asking for “heavy monetary damages” for “lying [to] and humiliating Meek,” according to Tacopina, who told the outlet:

“I’m going to take this place down because of what they did.”

As we reported, the Philly rapper took to social media over the weekend to post a series of videos showing the hotel’s security refusing to let him because of a prior incident. As Meek explained on Twitter, he only stayed at the Cosmo once five years ago, and never had any issues.
The real reason he was denied, Meek and his lawyer claim, was because there’s a list of black rappers who are not welcome at a group of Vegas hotels. The Cosmo denies it excludes anyone because of race, but Tacopina claims that he’s already found two other artists — Yo Gotti and BlocBoy JB — who say other Sin City hotels have barred them solely because they’re black rappers.

As for Meek’s situation, the Cosmo later told TMZ that they wouldn’t let him in because Marquee club was at capacity — something they claim to have told the performer before he left for the hotel.
That excuse doesn’t really add up though, seeing as the guard was recorded telling Meek that they denied him because of a prior incident. Also, Meek was later denied access to the restaurant when he asked if he could get something to eat, and it’s likely that the restaurant was not at full capacity.
Tacopina sent a letter to the hotel hours after the incident went down, demanding an apology and entrance to the club. In response, the Cosmo allegedly came up with two different versions of events — and the lawyer says both of them are false.
Claiming that the Cosmo had lied about Meek being involved in a prior incident, and that he was denied because the club was at capacity, the lawyer told the outlet:

“Show us one other incident where a white individual was denied hotel club access or access to the grounds because Marquee was full?”

The lawsuit will allege racial discrimination under state and federal law as well as defamation.
Tacopina says the video Meek posted online is all the proof they need to show there’s some racist b.s. going down in Vegas: specifically, an illegal banned list of black hip-hop artists that’s been circulating between a group of Sin City hotels.
