Meek Mill Blasts 'Racist As Hell' Vegas Hotel After Security Refuses To Let Him In & Threatens To Have Him Arrested!

Meek Mill has accused a major Las Vegas hotel of being “racist as hell” after he was allegedly barred from the property and almost arrested for trespassing!
Sources told TMZ that the Philly rapper and two members of his security team rolled up to the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino at around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, but the hotel’s security refused to let them into the building.
Meek took to social media to post a video of himself, his security team and the Cosmo staff discussing why he wasn’t being allowed inside the Sin City resort, where he was hoping to stay to attend a DJ Mustard concert there.

The guard said that the decision to bar the rapper was “way bigger” than him, and went on to threaten to have the 32-year-old arrested for trespassing if he entered the hotel. In response, the What’s Free performer asked:

“I’m gonna be arrested for what? Being a rapper?”

In a series of tweets, Meek went on to explain that there was no reason he should be banned from the Vegas hotel. He claimed he’s never done anything inappropriate in the past and has only stayed at the Cosmo once before: with Nicki Minaj for a JAY-Z event five years ago.

So… what was the issue then?

According to Meek, the Cosmo really is, as he put it, “racist as hell.” Following the incident, the rapper’s team reportedly learned that the resort keeps a list of black recording artists who should be denied access for no apparent reason other than that “they don’t want many blacks on the property.” Wait, what!?

Meek’s lawyer Joe Tacopina echoed these sentiments in a strongly-worded demand letter obtained by TMZ, in which he wrote:

“We have learned that the Cosmopolitan maintains a list of African American recording artists who should be denied access for no other reason than than their culture and skin color. Such course of conduct constitutes discrimination per se, in violation of state and federal law, and exposes you to significant monetary damages.”

The letter also warned the Cosmopolitan:

“We urge you to promptly issue an apology to Mr. Williams and grant him immediate access. In the event you fail to heed this one and only warning, we intend to pursue all legal recourse against you.”

The Vegas hotel issued a rather snooty statement in response to the drama, telling 3 News Las Vegas:

“As a matter of company policy, we do not comment on legal matters. Our guests’ safety and security always remains our top priority.”

Wow. Sounds like the resort doesn’t feel too bad about the way Meek was treated.
It also sounds like they’re implying that Meek is a threat to the safety and security of their guests, does it not??
We’ll see if this alleged “list” is real and if it ends up causing some actual legal trouble for the Cosmo.
