In honor of Archie Harrison‘s first birthday on Wednesday, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have released a new video of their growing boy, and all for a good cause!

In the Instagram clip, the Duchess of Sussex sits with her adorable son (who is the spitting image of his daddy) to read Duck! Rabbit! while the Duke of Sussex is on camera duty. The sweet moment was captured as part of the #SaveWithStories campaign which supports “food banks, and mobile meal trucks, and community feeding programs with funds to do what they do best—and also—with educational toys, books, and worksheets to make sure brains are full, as well as bellies.”

For those keeping up with the royal family, you’ll know a new image is typically released to commemorate birthdays or other occasions. Most recently, Archie’s older cousins Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte celebrated their second and fifth birthdays, respectively, and we got to see new photos of them in honor of the day!
Apart from his introduction days after birth and one appearance on the royal tour in September, we have not seen video footage of Archie, so this was a wonderful gift for followers. And since his parents are no longer using their @SussexRoyal IG profile, and they’ve made it clear that charity work is their passion, this was a great move on their part!!

Despite persistent rumors of feuds and family squabbles, the royals made sure to let it be known via social media how loved the 1-year-old is on his special day. Kate Middleton and Prince William shared a sweet photo from Archie’s christening in July 2019 to their @KensingtonRoyal IG account, writing in the caption:
“Wishing Archie a very happy first birthday today! ?”
Prince Charles and Camilla also chose to share a pic from the same occasion over on @Clarence House, captioning the black and white generational pic:
“?A very Happy Birthday to Archie, who turns one today.
This photo of Archie and his grandfather was taken following his christening in July 2019.”
But of course, Queen Elizabeth II got in on the action, too! A sweet image was shared from the then-newborn being introduced to her and Prince Philip:
“Happy Birthday to Archie Mountbatten-Windsor who is celebrating his 1st birthday today! ??
.
Archie is The Queen’s eighth great-grandchild.”
