Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are making it very clear they’re going to be welcoming their baby in a much more private manner than Kate Middleton and Prince William have.
On Thursday, the couple announced they’ll be keeping the royal baby birth plan under wraps and there won’t be a photo op on the steps of the hospital like the actress’ in-law has done with each of her three kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

With Markle said to be due at the end of April or even early May, it’s unclear when exactly the royals will introduce their newborn to the world. They do plan on having a reveal supposedly within a few days of welcoming the little one on the grounds of Windsor Castle, according to the palace. Only one photographer, one reporter, and one TV camera will be present.
Sounds like the soon-to-be parents don’t want themselves, or their new arrival, to be overwhelmed with press. Plus, we can’t blame them for wanting to enjoy this huge moment privately for a bit.
Of course, we can’t say we’re not a little disappointed…
While some royal fans may be upset about missing out, they can rest assured that the palace will announce when Meghan is going into labor. We can also expect the new Royal Sussex Instagram account to post about the baby’s arrival, too!
Considering Harry and his wife haven’t disclosed the sex or possible names, we’ll take whatever they’re willing to tell us!

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby.”
It continued:
“Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private. The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”
Going along with keeping it as intimate as possible, there’s no word on where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be having the baby, either.
