Meghan Markle Steps Out Post-Megxit As Prince William & Kate Middleton Look Carefree On Official Visit!

All eyes are on the royal family amid Megxit, so it’s only fitting they are all on their best behavior.

Although it was not an official visit, Meghan Markle made her first public appearance since announcing her big decision at a women’s center in Vancouver to “discuss issues affecting women in the community.”

Archie‘s momma visited the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre on Tuesday and was all smiles while posing with the staff:

The center’s mission is “to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for women from all walks of life, who live and/or work in the Downtown Eastside,” and it definitely aligns with Meg’s clearly expressed interests in working with women.

We’re sure this is just the first of many unannounced visits to other charitable organizations for the Duchess of Sussex. Well played, Meghan!!

Meanwhile, Kate Middleton and Prince William also proved they can keep calm and carry on during their own charitable event. On Wednesday, the pair traveled to Bradford ― one of the UK’s most diverse cities ― to pay a visit to local community projects.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge first stopped at City Hall to hear about life in the town from young people in the community before meeting with representatives from local employers and businesses.

Dawn Eaton, an onlooker during Wednesday’s visit, shared with People:

“He has got to carry on, business as usual. His mother was always my favorite and we have gone on to William and Harry and their children. It’s sad. But we don’t know what goes on behind closed doors.”

Apparently, there was no hint of any turmoil whatsoever! 20-year-old Rukhsar Parveebn noted (below) to the outlet:

“[William] didn’t let it show that the drama had been going on. I love the royal family and I was really impressed with him.”

The parents of three also dropped by the kitchen of MyLahore, a British Asian restaurant chain that draws inspiration from Lahore, the food capital of Pakistan, which the couple visited while on a recent tour of the country this fall.

The respective visits made by the Duke and Duchesses comes after Monday’s reported five-hour conversation between Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, William, and Prince Harry about the “financially independent” plans for the Sussexes. For now, things seem to be copacetic and the monarch issued a statement she is “entirely supportive” of their big decision:

“Today my family had very constructive discussions on the future of my grandson and his family. My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan’s desire to create a new life as a young family. Although we would have preferred them to remain full-time working Members of the Royal Family, we respect and understand their wish to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued part of my family. Harry and Meghan have made clear that they do not want to be reliant on public funds in their new lives. It has therefore been agreed that there will be a period of transition in which the Sussexes will spend time in Canada and the UK. These are complex matters for my family to resolve, and there is some more work to be done, but I have asked for final decisions to be reached in the coming days.”
