Meghan Trainor exploded onto the scene with her hit All About That Bass.
But just because she’s seeing early success with her pop single doesn’t mean she’s planning on going the pop princess route.

The 21-year-old songbird is already planning on exploring other genres.
Talking about her next album, Meghan said:
“I want it to be crazy. I want it to be awesome. I want it to be different. Because as a songwriter, I’m not just shoo-woppy. It’s just clicked. My favorite part of the doo-wop style is that it’s timeless. You can sing ‘Build Me Up Buttercup’ and everyone’s, like, ‘This is my jam!'”
Sure, All About That Bass is a bunch of shoo-woppy goodness, but she’s got all sorts of music in her!
Even stuff that’s a little more unique than pop… like reggae??
She continued:
“I wanna be like, yo – I wanna get my reggae out there!”
Ha! We wonder if that’s a joke or if she actually has some reggae in her!
Either way, we’d love to hear a Meghan Trainor reggae album. Meggae Trainor anyone? Or would it be Meghan Lion?? LOLz!
