Melissa McCarthy is flying so high right now!
The actress’ latest movie Spy is doing well in theaters and in critical reviews, and her clothing line, Seven7, is coming along nicely!

Melissa now has more details to share!
For one thing, she’s super committed to the endeavor and has even tried on every outfit:
“I’ve worn every single piece. There are little jeans that are super stretchy and they come all the way up, because I just do not need to see anyone’s muffin top, and I do not need to see anyone bend over and be able to tell what color underwear they’re wearing anymore.”
We honestly don’t recall ever hearing a celebrity clothing designer say they’ve worn every piece themselves.
Go, Melissa!
The actress is also very serious about sleeves and pockets:
“Yes, there are lots of sleeves here! Hallelujah! Do you know how many fights I’ve had about sleeves? I was actually told once [by a manufacturer she’s not working with now], ├óΓé¼╦£Plus-size women do not want sleeves, in any capacity.’ I was like, ├óΓé¼╦£Are you crazy? That’s not accurate! I am plus-size, and I want them, I have friends who are size 26 and size 8 and they want a sleeve! Very few things [in Seven7] don’t have sleeves. My stuff has sleeves, my stuff has pockets, you can count on that.”
Then she claims she’s being selfish with this line, although we don’t buy it:
“I started this line because I wanted to know: Where are the normal clothes? This really is a selfish venture. I wanted to build a better closet for myself.”
That doesn’t sound selfish! At least she’s not doing it solely for money like some other celebs.
She’s going to end up helping so many people who want cute clothes that actually fit!
