Honestly, we couldn’t be more thrilled for her!
One of the most well-deserved nominations in quite some time!
Melissa McCarthy only just found out that she’s received an Academy Award nod as Best Supporting Actress for her incredible performance in Bridesmaids, and took the opportunity to discuss her shock before heading to work on her sitcom Mike & Molly!
She reveals:
“I’m going to be bouncing off the walls. I feel bad because I am going to be so spastic and don’t know if I’ll get any of my lines right. When they said my name I was like, ├óΓé¼╦£What show is this? This must be some other show.’ I kept saying that, but when my picture came up I just kind of crumpled and my husband said, ├óΓé¼╦£You just got nominated for an Academy Award.’ I am so excited for Kristen and Annie. I can’t feel like more is right with the world. I root for good movies├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥period! But I know it means a lot to a lot of people when a comedy gets in there.”
Word, gurl!
