All signs are pointing to (an unfortunate) yes!
We thought The Expendables action franchaise would be totes done after the newest installment featuring Harrison Ford premieres…
But it looks like the owner of Millennium Films Avi Lerner isn’t ready to put the idea of gun slinging old people to rest!
The movie mogul told Bulgarian press he’s ready to throw some ladies into the mix, including Cameron Diaz, Meryl Streep, and Mila Jovovich for an entirely new project!
He revealed:
“The action movie will be spectacular ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ and in nothing inferior to the three male movies of the “The Expendables” There will be battles, special and visual effects and stunts – the spectacle will be equivalent to what Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Bruce Willis and Jean Claude van Damme have done. Now we are in search of a female director.”
Apparently the flick is already in the works, with a screen play provided by the same duo who did Legally Blonde!
Although we won’t hate on the idea too much because we LOVED Elle Woods, we can’t help but ask the undying question…
WTF would Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep want with this action movie?!
And for that, we’ll believe the casting news when we get official confirmation!
