Don’t worry, y’all… Michael B. Jordan is on it.
On Wednesday, the Black Panther star announced he will formally be adopting inclusion riders for all forthcoming projects made by his production company, Outlier Society.
The actor took to Instagram to make the announcement, which referenced the contractual provision mentioned by Frances McDormand in her Best Actress acceptance speech at the Oscars.

For those who didn’t do the Googling yet, “inclusion riders” allow stars to stipulate that their films have diverse teams in front of and behind the camera, putting the pressure on studios to ensure all sets are… well, inclusive!
Naturally, the actor was more than willing to step up to the plate. Here’s what he shared on Wednesday:

Jordan’s second hashtag, #AnnenbergInclusionInitiative, references Stacy Smith — a professor at USC‘s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, who invented the rider with lawyer Kalpana Kotagal.

Right after McDormand gave the legal term a shout-out at the Oscars, Smith told Vanity Fair:
“We’re hoping agencies can ask every actor, ├óΓé¼╦£Would you like an inclusion rider?’ If you get the Hollywood elite to adopt it in their contracts, it becomes baked in.”
It looks like the baking has commenced, as actors are already applauding Jordan’s decision. His Creed costar Tessa Thompson shared on Twitter:
