Can’t deny that Black Panther co-stars Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyong’o are always up to something special when they’re together!
The pair was at a special SAG Awards screening of the wildly popular superhero film in NYC on Friday when ET caught up with them and asked something we’ve all been wondering: what’s the secret to all that on and off-screen chemistry?!

Jordan laughed off any talk of romantic entanglements, instead opting to gush about the respect he has for Nyong’o:
“No, we’re good friends, honestly, we’ve known each other a really long time and respect each other and I love this girl to death.”
Awww!
And Lupita added:
“It’s flattering at the end of the day. I think it’s such a rare thing to find people you have good chemistry with and too for us to find each other as actors and get to work together, it makes the work richer that we truly enjoy each other’s company on and off screen.”
Amen!!!
Of course, these chemistry questions aren’t coming out of nowhere… not only do Jordan and Nyong’o both stand out in Black Panther, they also took the pop culture world by storm last week in a funny video sketch they did for InStyle at the mag’s Golden Globes after-party!

As you can see (below) ICYMI from a few days back, the two are caught making out in an elevator by co-star Danai Gurira, who then pushes Jordan aside and grabs Nyong’o for a kiss:
Too cute!!
And too funny — as Nyong’o recalls how Gurira’s intensity to sell the scene caused both of them to wind up on the ground:
“You can tell the truth. This is the thing, first of all, Danai, she commits to everything, so she really committed to that whatever swoop and it took me by surprise. We were both in stilettos, so we ended up on the ground. “It was a slow, clunky fall to the ground. Yeah, it was really funny.”
LOLz!

Jordan added:
“They took a little spill, and I couldn’t even get them … I’m watching from the other side like slowly start to tip over. Like, alright the doors are kinda closing, so I tried to time it to try and catch them, but it was too late.”
No kidding!!!
And no question there’s a lot of mutual respect and admiration here between two talented actors who honestly, genuinely like to be in each other’s company — no wonder the on-screen chemistry is so apparent!
Too bad it’s not happening IRL… imagine the ridiculously beautiful babies…
