This weekend Michael Sam became the first openly gay player to be drafted into the NFL, but the only thing people seemed to want to talk about was his on-screen kiss with his boyfriend Vito Cammisano!
While some showed support for the emotional moment, others decided to turn the beautiful moment sour by posting homophobic messages to Twitter and Facebook.
Well, writer Michelangelo Signorile was NOT happy with the negative response and decided to spark a movement to show that there’s nothing wrong with same sex smooches!
The idea was simple: Facebook and Twitter used were asked to post pictures of themselves kissing someone of the same sex and use the hashtag #KissIn!
And just like that, a social media movement was born!
The response was HUGE, with tons of people sharing amazing pics of themselves or loved ones sharing same-sex smooches, and they’re BEAUTIFUL!
It seems crazy that the response to Michael Sam’s kiss has been so huge considering TONS of other players were drafted and planted wet ones on their girlfriends!
