Michael Vick's Former Dog Fighting Estate Will Now Be A Dog Rehab Facility

The scars of Michael Vick‘s brutal business are still healing for some dogs and people, but his former estate may be getting a puppy makeover.
Vick served 18 months in jail for running Bad Newz Kennels and sold the property after he became financially ruined.
But the developer in charge of selling the property couldn’t sell the property until Dogs Deserve Better of Tipton, PA stepped in.
The organization purchased the house for $600,000 but there are still $3 million’s worth of developments left for the property to become a proper facility for dogs.
An anonymous donor will pay the house payments for the next 10 years but the organization will still be fundraising to reach their $3 million goal.
Dogs Deserve Better founder Tamira Thayne said the following about the big purchase:

I think by us taking over this property we are winning for the dogs. We are, in essence, giving this property back to the dogs that were abused there by using other dogs just like them.

We think this is a FANTASTIC idea. Replacing a place of pain with a safe haven will work wonders for mistreated dogs.
We’re fully behind Dogs Deserve Better and the plan of action!
