Sometimes, you do find your prince … after you’ve been married to someone else, hiding in a rock band that is making a resurgence.
In case you hadn’t heard, Michaele Salahi is happy. Like, so happy. Like Bethenny Frankel after she got her own show happy. The former Housewives star and White House crasher has finally left her husband to be with her true love, Journey rocker Neal Schon.
Course, she did it in an ass-backwards sort of way, but that is neither here nor there.
Anyway, ironically, she hasn’t spoken to the press in the length about her relationship with Neal, but today, she has finally come forward to tell her side of the story and insist that her new love is the stuff of a modern day “fairytale.”
Michaele explains:
“I chose Tareq over Neal because I thought life would be less stressful living on a vineyard in Virginia. Life on the road with a rock band├óΓé¼┬ª well, I thought I might not have been able to keep up … [But then] I began to see [Neal] really loved me. I had to begin to feel it completely — in my soul.”
Well, when you feel something in your soul, martial vows just cease to exist, huh!
The interview then turns to Neal, who took the opportunity to explain their breaking point over Labor Day weekend:
“She [looked] down on me… and says, ‘I love you. And that’s never gonna change.’ And when that happened, I said, ‘Get over here! This has taken 15 years.'”
So she did … and the rest is tabloid history.
Can’t fight a love like theirs, we guess. Especially when there is so much publicity to get out of it.
