Party at the White House!!!
A whole gang of designers and fashion executives have been invited to the White House by Michelle Obama for what we can only assume will be super secret fun timez! Maybe even a slumber party!
Just kidding, we’re sure it’ll just be a very dignified luncheon or something. It is officially called a “Celebration of Design” and set to take place on October 8.
Invitations were sent out last Friday with a request for the designers’ Social Security numbers, which seems kind of weird, but it’s probably for security purposes, or maybe they want to check everybody’s credit scores.
Among the known list of invitees so far are Maria Cornejo and execs from Jimmy Choo and Talbots, but we’re willing to bet some of MObama’s favorite designers, like Jason Wu, Narciso Rodriguez, and Isabel Toledo, were also invited.
They’d better dress to the nines!
