It looks like Mickey Rooney can finally rest in peace.
After a disagreement over where the late cinema legend would be laid to rest, Mickey’s widow Jan Chamberlin has finally come to an agreement with his lawyers.
Mickey will officially be buried at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, among classic stars such as Charlie Chaplin and Jayne Mansfield.
Trustee of Mickey’s estate Mike Augustine announced the news of the agreement, saying:
“I just signed the settlement papers.”
According to his lawyers, being interred in Hollywood was one of Mickey’s final wishes. The grieving Jan thought he would rather be with his family.
We don’t know how she was finally convinced, but we’re glad the matter could be settled without getting into an ugly fight.
It would have been a sad way to end such a beautiful life.
