Mikey, Mikey whatever will you do??
As we├óΓé¼Γäóve been avidly reporting, Mike Sorrentino AKA The Situation has headed off to Cirque Lodge rehab center for multiple abuse problems including prescription pills, drugs, and now…alcohol?
It├óΓé¼Γäós actually not surprising that Mike is/was an alcoholic. If you├óΓé¼Γäóve watched even one Jersey Shore episode, the cast is drunk prettttyyy much the entire time – sadly, alcohol plays a HUGE part in the program’s entertainment value.
Additionally, Mikey is a savvy business partier off-show, charging 6 figures for nightclub appearances in which he is required to party hardy. A source close to the Sitch has said:
“Mike doesn’t want to give up his paid club promotional appearances: he loves the attention that he gets from the ladies and the money is great. Mike leads a very expensive life and he doesn’t want his lifestyle to suffer because of his decision to go to rehab. He is very upset that stint in rehab has become public knowledge, because he doesn’t want it to affect his bottom line. Mike’s brother handles his club appearances and he has been telling club managers that Mike has no plans on giving up the nightlife.”
Um…WHAT.
We├óΓé¼Γäóre sorry, but people go to rehab for serious dependance issues, we just don├óΓé¼Γäót believe that continuing to appear at clubs rife with alcohol and other substances is condusive to staying clean…unless that person has the willpower of Gandhi…but then, they wouldn├óΓé¼Γäót be in rehab in the first place, right??
There is also the worry that if MTV allows Mikey back on the show and portrays him easing into his old ways, they could potentially be sending the wrong message about addiction.
Hoh Man! It seems to us that Mikey needs a clean slate…chill out! Get healthy!
Instead of fist pumping, pump some tubes of icing at a baking class. Instead of binge drinking, binge on volunteer work, or something.
We just want you to be healthy, Dude!!
